SweepTank Episode 12: Weis, OG Ape Club, and more

Which project took home a Governance Proposal?

Sweepers Club returned to Twitter Spaces last night for episode 12 of SweepTank, an innovative NFT show where projects get the chance to showcase themselves to the community and get their floor swept!

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎‎‎‏‏‎ ‎‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

How does SweepTank work?

SweepTank is the Web3 version of the hit television show Shark Tank. In this episode, three founders were given several minutes to pitch their NFT projects and answer tough questions from the hosts.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

After hearing from each project, the audience had five minutes to vote for their favourite. Whichever project won the Twitter poll, took home a Sweepers Club Governance Proposal!

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

Over the following days, Sweeper NFT holders head over to the Sweepers Club website and vote on whether a portion of the Treasury funds should be used to sweep the floor of the project.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

If the proposal passes, the project’s floor gets swept, and the NFTs are sent to the Sweepers Vault, where the community can use their $DUST tokens to win them via an auction or raffle.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

Episode 12 showed the power of community

Last night, Sweepers Club hosted their 12th episode of SweepTank, where we heard from three projects building in the bear market: Las Vegas Lounge Lizards, Weis, and OG Ape Club. Let’s dive in!

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

First up, listeners heard from Las Vegas Lounge Lizards (LVLL), an exclusive members-only club for like-minded Kingpins, Mavericks, Tricksters, and streetwise Hustlers.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

There are 5,555 unique LVLL NFTs available, each serving as a passport for the holder to participate in an underworld story told through animation, web content, and gamification.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

At its core, LVLL is an NFT brand that will merge storytelling with opportunities for holders, such as earning Ethereum (ETH), NFTs, and story-based airdrops.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

While there are thousands of PFP projects out there, the Las Vegas Lounge Lizards was brought to life by a multi-award-winning team of creatives.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

In the Web2 space, LVLL’s team has collaborated with the likes of Viacom, Paramount, and Warner Media. They have even managed publishing deals for major brands like Game of Thrones and How to Train Your Dragon!

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

The collection is made up of 14 characters known as “specialists” from every corner of the underworld, each playing a unique part in a big job that’s about to go down in Las Vegas.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

Holders will see their specialist as part of a wider story and within animated content. This content will be released after the mint, but you can already check out high-quality teasers on LVLL’s Twitter.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

Notably, holders will have exclusive commercial rights to utilize their NFT. With their in-house team, experience, and connections, it’s safe to say LVLL will strike huge commercial deals in the future.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

Thousands of projects require interested buyers to stay active in their Discord server or enter a giveaway to get on the whitelist. LVLL, on the other hand, is giving community members a unique way to prove their reputation.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

This is where LVLL missions come in. The first mission, named “Holiday Heist,” was a mission-based competition where players had to solve three challenges to earn their spot on the guestlist.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

In order to complete the mission, players had to use an interactive payphone on LVLL’s website, spot easter egg’s in the project’s trailer, and even do encryption. Players that solved all three challenges won a spot on the guestlist.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

LVLL’s mint date will be announced in Q1 of 2023. After the mint is live, LVLL will return to SweepTank and pitch their project again for a chance to win a Governance Proposal!

Next up to pitch their project was a community member from Weis, a collection of 5,001 cute NFTs stored on the Ethereum blockchain.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

The project’s name was inspired by ‘Wei,’ the smallest denomination of ETH. Weis might be small, but the team has big hearts and even bigger aspirations for the future!

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

Whether you hold a Bored Ape, Cool Cat, Pudgy Penguin, or an NFT from any other collection, Wei’s are the perfect companion to your main PFP that you associate yourself with most of the time.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

We know Weis can sit on the shoulder of your favourite NFT, but the companions are still very mysterious. Where do they come from? What are their names? And what we’re all wondering, can they fly?

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

There is a multitude of use cases available for Weis in the real world, Web3, and the metaverse. Weis will use its child-friendly brand to target ages 0-99 through gaming, toys, and whatever else they imagine down the road.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

Most importantly, holders get access to an open, friendly, and inclusive community, where they can always chill and share their ideas for taking Weis to the next level.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

With over 500 Discord members, Weis’ community is quickly growing, so make sure to stop by their server to check them out and say hi!

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

Last but not least, Hershey came in hype with the OG Ape Club anthem to talk about his project, an 8,420-piece collection that is nearly halfway through its mint.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

These original grinders have been hustling since the very beginning. On the first day of the mint, OG Ape Club launched a staking platform to allow holders to collect the project’s native token, OG Coin.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

OG Ape Club mint bounties are held weekly, with two Golden OGs worth 20 ETH each still to be minted. As of November 1st, OG Ape Club has given back over $92,000 worth of ETH, NFTs, and prizes back to the community.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

Alongside the OG collection, OG Ape Club has a 2,500-piece Comic book collection created in collaboration with its partners. The first chapter of the comic book, which is out, features five unique variants of the cover.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

The project’s founder, Hershey, has been fully doxed since he entered the NFT space back in 2021. Hershey decided to launch OG Ape Club after helping to launch 14 other projects, and ever since, he’s been non-stop grinding!

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

In conclusion, holders of OG Ape NFTs can expect to receive whitelist spot for future drops, access to giveaways, and the chance to play games with an amazing community.

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

And the winner is…

After a two-hour show with over 400 listeners, the vote for the winner went live, and OG Ape Club was quickly crowned winner of SweepTank episode 12!

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎

It’s now up to broom holders to vote on whether Treasury funds should be used to sweep OG Ape Club NFTs on OpenSea!
