OpenAI Launches AI-Powered Search Engine That Could Take on Google

Initially available only to paid subscribers, the ChatGPT search engine was first introduced in October

Starting today, ChatGPT’s AI-powered search engine will be accessible to all users. OpenAI made the announcement during its latest 12 days of ship-mas livestream, introducing several new features, including a mobile-optimized version of the search engine and an advanced voice search mode.

Initially available only to paid subscribers, the ChatGPT search engine was first introduced in October. Now, it will be available to free-tier users as well, although a ChatGPT account and login are still required.
