The New York Times and Daily News, currently suing OpenAI for allegedly using their content to train its AI models without authorization, faced a significant setback in their legal proceedings. OpenAI engineers accidentally deleted search data critical to the case, according to a letter filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
