OpenAI Announces New $200 Monthly Subscription, ChatGPT Pro

OpenAI is launching a new, premium tier for its popular chatbot, ChatGPT, along with a significant update to its "reasoning" model series.

The company is rolling out the full version of its o1 model (previously o1-preview), which first debuted in September under the code name ‘Strawberry’ as a limited preview. This updated model is now available for ChatGPT Plus and Team users starting today, with Enterprise and Edu users getting access next week.

In addition, OpenAI is introducing ChatGPT Pro, a new $200 monthly subscription that offers unlimited access to OpenAI's o1 model, GPT-4o, and Advanced Voice mode. Pro subscribers will also get an exclusive version of o1, called o1 Pro mode, which uses enhanced computing power to tackle the toughest problems and deliver the most accurate answers. The $20 per month Plus tier remains available, providing early access to new features and all OpenAI models (except for the more advanced o1 version).
