Meta Launches Open Source Llama 3.3

Meta has introduced its latest addition to the Llama AI family: Llama 3.3 70B. Ahmad Al-Dahle, Meta’s VP of Generative AI, shared the news on X, highlighting that this text-only model matches the performance of Meta’s largest model, Llama 3.1 405B, but at a fraction of the cost.

“By leveraging the latest advancements in post-training techniques … this model improves core performance at a significantly lower cost,” Al-Dahle explained.
