Google Launches Gemini 2.0, Its Latest AI Model Capable of Thinking Multiple Steps Ahead

On Wednesday, Google introduced Gemini 2.0, its most advanced AI model to date, as tech giants around the world compete to lead in the rapidly advancing field of artificial intelligence.

CEO Sundar Pichai explained that Gemini 2.0 marks the beginning of "a new agentic era" in AI development, where models are not only able to understand but also make decisions based on the world around them.

“Gemini 2.0 is about making information much more useful,” Pichai said, highlighting the model’s enhanced ability to comprehend context, think multiple steps ahead, and take supervised actions on behalf of users.
