GitLab names Bill Staples as its new CEO

GitLab, a prominent platform for developers and security professionals, has announced Bill Staples as its new CEO, effective immediately.

In addition to his new role, Staples has joined the company’s board of directors. He takes over from Sid Sijbrandij, who is stepping down as CEO to focus on his health after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Sijbrandij will continue to contribute to the company as the executive chair of the board.
