Facebook Shifts to ‘Views’ as Primary Metric for Content Performance
Meta changes its content performance measurement to 'views,' unifying the metric across Facebook, Instagram, and Threads.
In a major shift, Facebook is now using "views" as its primary metric for measuring the performance of content across all formats. This new approach aligns Facebook with Instagram, which switched to views earlier this year. Instead of tracking likes, comments, or shares, Meta will count how many times content appears on a user's screen. If the same user views it multiple times, each instance counts as a view.
