Elon Musk says the Tesla Roadster can fly
Elon Musk has once again stirred excitement with bold claims that the long-awaited Tesla Roadster will have the ability to fly. Unveiled in 2017 with production initially set for 2020, the Roadster has faced repeated delays, casting doubt on its eventual release despite Tesla's assurances.
Earlier this year, Musk reignited discussions about the next-generation Roadster, stressing the necessity for an updated design after seven years. While he hinted at a potential 2025 launch, concrete details have been scarce since then, and the vehicle notably didn't feature in Tesla's recent shareholders meeting.
Recently, Musk teased a groundbreaking addition to the Roadster: a proposed 'SpaceX package' featuring cold air thrusters, suggesting it could "fly." This innovation might allow the vehicle to briefly jump and hover, representing a significant leap forward if realized.

Apple and Meta may face official EU charges
Apple and Meta face potential charges from the European Commission under the Digital Markets Act (DMA). The Commission targets Apple for its "steering" rules, charging developers for directing users to third-party purchase options. Meta is scrutinized for its ad-free subscriptions on Facebook and Instagram in the EU.
Reuters reports the Commission will issue preliminary findings, allowing companies to address concerns before final decisions are made. Apple is expected to be charged first, with announcements possibly within weeks, according to the Financial Times.
This follows DMA non-compliance investigations into Apple, Meta, and Alphabet since March. The DMA, effective since March, imposes strict regulations on tech giants designated as "gatekeepers" of core platform services, including Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, ByteDance (TikTok), Meta, and Microsoft.

Tesla Cybertruck deliveries delayed over wipers
Some Cybertruck buyers scheduled to receive their trucks this week have been informed of a delay due to a windshield wiper motor safety issue. While Tesla hasn't officially confirmed the problem or issued a recall, many members of the Cybertruck Owners Club forum and Reddit have reported postponed delivery dates.
This delay follows reports from Cybertruck owners about windshield wiper failures, some occurring almost immediately after pickup. Earlier this spring, Tesla paused Cybertruck deliveries due to a recall over faulty accelerator pedals that could get stuck, affecting about 3,878 vehicles.
In that instance, the fix involved installing a rivet, and deliveries quickly resumed. The current windshield wiper issue appears to be another bump in the road for Tesla as they work to resolve it and continue deliveries.
