Elon Musk teases buying MSNBC amid Comcast spinoff
Elon Musk shared a meme on X, joking about buying MSNBC following Comcast’s plans to spin off the liberal cable network. The post featured a priest resisting temptation, with the priest labeled “Elon Musk trying not to buy” and MSNBC’s logo over the woman. Musk’s banter has sparked talk about his interest in overhauling the network.
This comes after Comcast revealed plans to split its cable channels into a new company, SpinCo, which will include CNBC, Oxygen, and Syfy. The announcement has left MSNBC’s future uncertain, with internal staff reportedly anxious about the shake-up.
Musk’s joke caught the attention of figures like Donald Trump Jr. and Joe Rogan, who also joked about the potential sale. Musk, worth $348 billion, has a history of turning jokes into reality, like with his purchase of Twitter.

LinkedIn is shutting down its Audio Events feature
During the COVID-19 pandemic, live audio became a viral trend, driven by Clubhouse, with other platforms quickly adopting the feature. However, as life returned to normal, live audio faded as a quirky relic of lockdown entertainment. Now, LinkedIn, which joined the trend in 2022, has announced it will end standalone live audio events by the end of the year.
Starting December 2, users won’t be able to create new audio events, and previously scheduled ones will be disabled after December 31. LinkedIn is merging audio events with LinkedIn Live, requiring third-party tools for setup.
LinkedIn isn’t alone in abandoning live audio. Reddit, Facebook, Spotify, and Amazon have also shut down their pandemic-era features, and even Clubhouse has pivoted. Meanwhile, X continues to support live audio despite technical issues.

Chrysler confirms new electric Pacifica minivan
Chrysler is developing an all-electric version of the Pacifica minivan, set to launch after a refreshed design inspired by Stellantis' Halcyon concept. The updated Pacifica will follow a gas-powered and plug-in hybrid version, the latter offering 32 miles of electric-only range.
Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell confirmed the electric Pacifica at the LA Auto Show but did not clarify whether the plug-in hybrid will remain in the lineup. The electric model will require adjustments to the Pacifica’s signature "Stow 'N Go" seating, which allows seats to fold flat for extra cargo space.
To adapt, Chrysler is considering storing second-row seats under the front seats or installing rails to allow the second-row seats to slide sideways, ensuring the new BEV powertrain fits while maintaining versatility.
