Apple TV+ Offers Free Streaming Access from January 3-5

Apple is giving free access to Apple TV+ from January 3 to 5, with popular titles available to stream ahead of major upcoming releases.

Apple is offering a rare opportunity for non-subscribers to access its Apple TV+ streaming service for free this weekend, from January 3 to 5. For the first time ever, viewers can enjoy a wide range of popular content without any cost, including hit shows like “Severance,” “Slow Horses,” and “Shrinking.” This announcement follows recent teasers by Apple about opening up its platform to those outside its subscription base.

The timing of the promotion is especially strategic, as “Severance” prepares for its highly anticipated return with a second season set to launch on January 17. Apple is likely hoping that new viewers will be drawn into its exclusive shows, paving the way for them to sign up for a subscription and keep up with upcoming releases.

While Apple TV+ was originally announced as free for January 4 and 5, the official press release clarified that access would actually be available from January 3 to 5. To stream, all you need is an Apple ID, and the service is accessible on any device compatible with Apple TV+.

Normally, Apple TV+ is priced at $9.99 per month, allowing up to six family members to share a single subscription through Family Sharing. By offering a limited-time free trial, Apple hopes to entice viewers to explore its library and eventually convert them into long-term subscribers.
