AMD Reports 69% Drop in Gaming Revenue for Q3 2024
Lower demand for GPUs and consoles contributes to downturn
AMD’s Q3 2024 earnings report is in, shedding light on the company’s recent performance. While the numbers for revenue and earnings per share (EPS) are noteworthy, the standout story is the significant plunge in revenue from AMD’s Gaming segment this quarter.
In the Segment Summary section of the report, AMD reveals that its Gaming division brought in $462 million—a staggering 69 percent drop compared to Q3 2023. The report clarifies that “The Gaming segment primarily includes discrete GPUs, semi-custom SoC products, and development services.”
