Amazon Boosts Investment in Anthropic to $8 Billion, Enhancing Alexa’s AI

Amazon announced a significant new investment in Anthropic, committing an additional $4 billion to the AI company. This brings Amazon’s total funding to $8 billion, following earlier investments of $1.25 billion in September and $2.75 billion in March. The latest funding will see Amazon Web Services (AWS) becoming Anthropic’s “primary training partner,” providing resources through its Trainium and Inferentia chips for the development of future AI models.
